with "palladiumd/palladium network" (dual_open_control.c, opening_control.c,
peer_htlcs.c)
- .gitignore: add ccan/config.h.* (PIDs left by build system)
This commit finalizes the integration of Palladium Lightning with
the Palladium Core backend, making it trivial for developers to
spin up and test a local regtest network.
Key changes:
- Created [TESTING_PALLADIUM.md](cci:7://file:///home/davide/lightning-plm/TESTING_PALLADIUM.md:0:0-0:0) with comprehensive regtest instructions.
- Linked the new testing guide in the main [README.md](cci:7://file:///home/davide/lightning-plm/README.md:0:0-0:0).
- Ignored `/palladium-bin/` in `.gitignore` to allow developers to drop
backend binaries locally without accidentally committing them.
- Patched `contrib/startup_regtest.sh` to automatically detect and use
these local `palladiumd`/`palladium-cli` binaries if present, removing
the strict need to manually export environment variables.
- Fixed a false-positive timeout error in `startup_regtest.sh` when
parsing the absent `clnrest` plugin logs
No idea if it works, we don't test it and nobody runs it. I guess not.

We were leaving out the `channel_max_msat` for `openchannel2` when
channels are 'wumbo' (the conversion to msat in the json helper
overflowed, which resulted in the field not being printed)
Changelog-Changed: Plugins: `openchannel2` now always includes the `channel_max_msat`
The idea is to have different default ports for different networks.
Current default port is `9735` for everything. Let's use it for
the mainnet and reuse the difference added to the default port
from `rpc_port` values in `bitcoin/chainstate.c`.
Testnet would be `19735` (adding rpc_port - 8332 = `10000`).
Signet would be `39735` (adding rpc_port - 8332 = `30000`).
Regtest would be `19846` (adding rpc_port - 8332 = `10111`).
With Vincenzo's kind pair-programming help over tmate.
Two other commits were squashed into this one so that bisecting
never ends up in half-baked state:
1. chainparams: Fix regtest default rpc_port
bitcoind -help says this:
-rpcport=<port>
Listen for JSON-RPC connections on <port> (default: 8332, testnet:
18332, signet: 38332, regtest: 18443)
2. test_gossip: Default port for regtest
hex: 2607 is now .... (could be 4d86 but Elements uses another port)
dec: 9735 is now any port (could be 19846 ^^ but now is for any port)
The lines which were binding to default port were removed as the
default port is different on each network.
NOTE: Remember not to modify gossip_store tests which loads everything raw
including the checksums.
Changelog-Changed: If the port is unspecified, the default port is chosen according to used network similarly to Bitcoin Core.
And turn "" includes into full-path (which makes it easier to put
config.h first, and finds some cases check-includes.sh missed
previously).
config.h sets _GNU_SOURCE which really needs to be done before any
'#includes': we mainly got away with it with glibc, but other platforms
like Alpine may have stricter requirements.

We did this originally because these types are referred to in the bolts, and we
had no way of injecting the correct include lines into those. Now we do, so
there's less excuse for this.

for L-BTC which is the fee-paying asset.

Using a global variable is a bit lazy, but weaving the network type through
the entire stack is a daunting task. Maybe we can make that happen at a later
stage.
Most of the changes in `chainparams.c` are just formatting the
`genesis_blockhash` a bit nicer (`clang-format` to the rescue).

'bip70_name' is corresponding to the 'chain' field of
the API 'getblockchaininfo'.
At the beginning of lightningd, we use the 'chain' field of 'getblockchaininfo' to check if we are on right blockchain.
We set the version BIP32_VER_TEST_PRIVATE for testnet/regtest
BIP32 privkey generation with libwally-core, and set
BIP32_VER_MAIN_PRIVATE for mainnet.
For litecoin, we also set it like bitcoin else.
With fallback depending on chainparams: this means the first upgrade
will be slow, but after that it'll be fast.

It's just a sha256_double, but importantly when we convert it to a
string (in type_to_string, which is used in logging) we use
bitcoin_blkid_to_hex() so it's reversed as people expect.
