- could not find a single project that still actually cares about bip70 [0]
- well except maybe BitPay.
- but I cannot test with BitPay:
- they have a testnet3 staging environment on test.bitpay.com
- but the SSL cert they use for bip70 has expired in 2021
- the webUI probably also has not been updated since then...
- they claim to have added LN support in 2022 in a blog post,
but it's not there on test.bitpay.com
- on mainnet, they require KYC before payment
- < ... angry noises >
- their loss then, I don't care.
- this is code that no one wants to maintain
- this does not yet delete the signed bip70 payment data for historical txs
- but it is no longer possible to export it from the GUI

Moves the logic requesting the forward swap into the TxEditor so it can
use the open transport and doesn't have to reconnect to the relays
again.
Also disables the "Preview" button in the TxEditor when the transaction will
send change to lightning.
This should prevent the user from saving the transaction to history and
broadcasting it later or exporting it and broadcasting it through some
external way.
Broadcasting needs to happen directly after the TxEditor so we can send
the second rpc call to the swapserver and await the incoming htlcs
before broadcasting the (funding-) transaction.
Only allow signing a transaction if it also gets broadcast by disabling
the signing and broadcast button of the preview dialog when creating a
new tx. Makes it slightly less trivial to cheat with the fees.
Allows storing two different payment info of the same payment hash by
including the direction into the db key.
We create and store PaymentInfo for sending attempts and for requests (receiving),
if we try to pay ourself (e.g. through a channel rebalance) the checks
in `save_payment_info` would prevent this and throw an exception.
By storing the PaymentInfos of outgoing and incoming payments separately in
the db this collision is avoided and it makes it easier to reason about
which PaymentInfo belongs where.
Exposes reverse submarine swaps to an external/specific address in the
TxEditor gui as "Submarine Payments". The user can enter a onchain
address in the Send Tab and then pay it from the lightning balance in
the send tab by enabling the Submarine Payments option in the TxEditor
dialog menu and switching to the Submarine Payment tab in the Tab bar.
This changes the "Pay to" label to "Pay to many" if the user enables the
"Pay to many" option and aligns it at the top of the payto_e instead of
moving ot to the center when the payto_e expands.
The amount edit box is not turning red anymore if the amount is higher
than the wallet balance, so this string can be removed.
Alternatively it could be made red again but seems like nobody missed
it.
I don't understand what the "coins not used" comment meant here.
It was added in the change away from the old config.WALLET_BATCH_RBF option
(https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/commit/ab14c3e1382c1af48baff73b790aecfbd069eb8a).
The `coins` param *is used* in wallet.get_candidates_for_batching.
Without setting that, the returned set of candidates was restricted to
only base txs that had a large enough change output to cover *all* the newly added outputs.
Instead, it is desirable to allow adding new inputs.
adds handling of lnurl-withdraw payment identifiers which allow users to
withdraw bitcoin from a service by scanning a qr code or pasting the
lnurl-w code as "sending" address.
There was too much code duplication - there still is a bit...
- in some places buttons had text "Read QR code with camera", in others it was "Read QR code from camera"
- https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/commit/63c224cb53739c5b4b5630e3a0bfb8208d785879 added a "on_qr_from_file_input_btn"
input method, which was not added everywhere.
- was missing in add_qr_input_combined_button and in editor_contextMenuEvent
fixes exceptions ocurring when entering a '!' amount with a payment
identifier that is not allowed to send max (e.g. bolt11).
fixes exception when "Max" is still set from previous PI and the PI gets
replaced by one that doesn't allow max sending.
This is purely informational and optional, with the main immediate use to provide the
invoice description/message/label to the transaction dialog, so it can be stored
when saving the tx in history, or passed along with PSBTs sent to cosigners.
Before, the tx description was not saved in history when an invoice was not saved before
signing and saving the tx for sending later.
There was no ability to read qr codes contained in image files. This
could lead to confusion in some contexts, as `on_file_input()` of
ScanQRTextEdit will read the whole content of the file (instead of
looking for qr codes). The revealer plugin for example generates png
files containing qr codes and uses the `ScanQRTextEdit` to get user
input, for the user it would seem logical to click on 'Read from file'
to load the generated file, however this will result in the wrong data
being loaded. Having the option to explicitly load a QR from file makes
this clear. Also it seems useful, especially considering reading QR from
screenshots doesn't work on wayland.
- Wallet.make_unsigned_transaction takes a FeePolicy parameter
- fee sliders act on a FeePolicy instead of config
- different fee policies may be used for different purposes
- do not detect dust outputs in lnsweep, delegate that to lnwatcher
- Separation between SwapManager and its transport:
Legacy transpport uses http, Nostr uses websockets
- The transport uses a context to open/close connections.
This context is not async, because it needs to be called
from the GUI
- Swapserver fees values are initialized to None instead
of 0, so that any attempt to use them before the swap
manager is initialized will raise an exception.
- Remove swapserver fees disk caching (swap_pairs file)
- Regtests use http transport
- Android uses http transport (until QML is ready)
